Tribute to the random.
Yesterday I heard the rain.
Tonight I hear the rain.
Yesterday the rain was monotone.
Tonight the multitude of droplets
sing me a song, play me a melody,
show me the beauty of chance,
coincidence, random events.

Where will the next one fall?
When will the last one fall?
Impossible to say for certain.
That gives it beauty, purity, serenity.

The rain plays me a song.
It takes me away, far away
across ocean and land
and lets me see him.

The beauty of the random makes me cry.
My tears fall to the ground
where they join the vast symphony
all around me.

And I think to myself, what a beautiful world.
