Doctors are only the messenger. I used the triolet form.
The Test is In

The doctor said the test was in.
His words confirmed my silent fears.
My daughter's chemo must begin.
The doctor said the test was in.
Her fragile body was so thin.
I knew I'd shed a million tears.
The doctor said the test was in.
His words confirmed my silent fears.

Poem #6 for April's challenging poetry month.
This is a triolet form. It has only 8 lines. Lines 1, 4, and 7 repeat. Lines 2 and 8 repeat. The rhyme is ABaAabAB. It usuallly has 8 or 10 syllables.
