A poem I wrote as a teen, after walking past younger children riding bikes on our street.
She watches my face
As I walk by.
I know what she's thinking -
She lets out a sigh.
She wonders, Will I ever be
As big as she?
She must be too busy
To care about me.

As I pass her by,
I look in her eye
And grin.
Does she have any idea
That I'm sort of wishing
I could be like her again?
