Daughter of God Poem
Daughter of God

I am a loving, caring daughter of God.
I wonder why things often happen the way they do.
I hear crying in the distance.
I see pain and despair everywhere.
I want to help, but I do not know how and more often than not I am physically and emotionally
unable to.

I am a loving, caring daughter of God.
I pretend at times that I am His hands helping those around me that need to feel His love.
I feel His loving arms encircling around me.
I touch His hands; I feel the wounds and the love that radiates from them.
I worry at times that I am not good enough to help.
I cry whenever I cannot feel Him there.

I am a loving, caring daughter of God.
I understand that He loves me and wants to help me; and that He is only a prayer away from
me.
I say Father, I know you are there, please help me do what I need to do.
I dream about what it will be like to live with Him again, and feel His loving arms around me,
telling me that I have done my best and that He loves me.
I try so very much to be like Him and to do those things that would make Him proud.
I hope that someday I can realize all that He wants me to become and be the person He wants
me to be.
I am a loving, caring daughter of God.
