The gavel dropped and gave life to the machine, ending the decade long debate.

The machine stood up and bowed, then strode triumphantly down the aisle of law, embracing its humanity despite the raised voices of bigots.

A shot reverberated throughout the chamber, and the precious life given to the creation of man was ended.
