Monkey and Me

I stare you in the eye and see but a vague resemblance,
And yet you keep such a great independence.
Only if you would have added something in your feed,
The difference between you and me is but a mushroom of divinity.

Of course that has its ups and downs,
We have migrated from forests to towns.
Consciousness is something that we can never let go,
But with consciousness comes the mirage of the ego.

With exploring the stars we are discovering ourselves,
And with exploring the mind we have found morphing machine elves.
Telepathy is in every sound we make,
From mouth-noises to earthquakes.

Our souls are 13.75 billion years old,
And yet the fractals continue to unfold.
Ive come to a conclusion, and I feel I need to shout,
We need to turn on, tune in and drop out.
