A walk through a fog of history.

A thousand voices followed me across
the plains of Abraham.
Mere boys calling for their mothers,
pleas for help,
to take the pain away.
No longer a game,
war mixed the son's hot blood
with his mother's warm sad tears.
Their voices, in unison, called aloud
for God's mercy.
I stopped to hear more clearly,
but the sound faded.
