We’re chasing forever
Along rails of make-believe,
Pursued by biting reality
Like tin cans noisily clanging
Behind us;
But we run like cunning predators
Empty of surrender,
— determined,
— firm.
We are fuelled by love
And the desire to defy death.
We are desperate,
Ignoring the screams of
Faithfully pursuing reality.
