Second Nevaeh Poem, also stream of consciousness-ish. :)
Black torrents raining down
Streams of darkness
Crashing
Splintering the night with flashes of lightning
Teardrops falling
From she and Nevaeh
Sobbing; screaming
Thunder envelopes her terror
Outer darkness covers
Inner darkness consumes
Without a word she rises
As the screaming increases
she walks along her path
Nevaeh’s anger lighting her way
Leads her through the darkness
Amidst the weeping of the sky
And as the thunder turns to roaring
Another sound akin to sorrow
The sounds of a bottle
Sobbing out it’s heart
Nevaeh throws her anger though the sky
Wishing to hail the horror that she recalls
Only succeeding in harm
But without regret
Nevaeh fails to lend her joy
And so with one last torrent
The sobbing ceases
Shivers begin
And then end.
A twitch
One final raindrop
As Neveah’s anger subsides
The girl becomes yet another shade of gray.
