No one will miss ... him

I touched your face in the middle of the night
The cold tepid air gave me such a fright
It slipped around my neck like a noose
Oh dear, he is dead, you silly goose

Life sucked out in the blink of an eye
Gone too soon, adios, goodbye
What happened to the red laughing lips
Now replaced by sullen sunken ice chips

I cringe and slowly pull away
Not knowing how to face this day
What will I do, where will I go
They will all see me, they will all know

I ripped the heart from his chest
And tucked it away with the rest
Smiling as I wipe the blood from my hand
No one will miss him, he's just a man.
