If Only I Had Done That Differently



If only I had done that differently

Is what I sometimes say

When I feel that loneliness

Is withering me away

If only I had loved you

And showed you soft romance

Then maybe you would’ve loved me too

When I still had a chance

I had the world, the beautiful world

In the linings of my palm

But I let it slip

My cursed grip

Could do me no more wrong

If I only had done that differently

And never let you go

Maybe I wouldn’t be dwelling on the sky

While lying in hell below
