Remembering the death of my Mother
Thirteen years have come and gone
That’s how long my Mother has been gone
I missed her so much the day she left
You can never know the pain I felt
I miss my Mother

I know now that she could not stay
That is why she went away
To a home that is a better place
A home where she will forever be safe
I miss my Mother

Letting her go was hard to do
But go she did and was borne anew
Death came and gave her wings
Now all of heaven’s angels sing
I miss my Mother

They say that parting is such sweet sorrow
But it took away my hope for tomorrow
Thirteen years ago My Mother departed
Leaving me so broken hearted
I miss my Mother

Time may heal a broken heart
And you may learn to live apart
But nothing takes the place of Mother
Not time, clothes, jewelry or a Father
I miss my Mother

So love your Mother while she is here
Stay in touch and keep her near
You only get one true Mother
Who can never be replaced by another
I miss my Mother

Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall
I miss her through it all
She was my girl, my friend and my lover
Lord, I thank you for giving me Florence for my Mother
I truly miss her, my girl, my Mother
