A sonnet about despair and choices.
In a world of despair, a voice cries out
pleading above the others, angst, anger, fear.
Quiet reflection leads hatred to mount,
friendship ends, nostalgic mem’ries draw near.
Filled with cutting, biting, scathing remarks
seething with pain, no hope leftover for love.
Faces fill the dark void, chirping like larks,
endure day by day, you can act above.
Intricate decisions are to be made;
to live with it, pull through, or loose all
to be reminded, hoping scars will fade
Which choice will you make, to live or fall?
Alas, in the end the choices are clear
You chose to loose vision, loose all that’s dear
