A poem about when my company's jobsite faced a protest by environmentalists - enjoy!
Being made to squirm,
Because the naturists affirm,
Bluntly called a worm,
And not the greatest firm…

No blinkin’ Tom Sawyer,
But some mean, old destroyer;
But a very big employer,
So you won’t need a lawyer.

But when the activists blare,
And those protesters glare,
Who are those having to care,
For the people out there?

Our proud company's gift
Is providing folks a huge lift,
Meanwhile, we must sift,
Through this unlucky, <blank> rift...

So humanity’s trouble
Is we don't live in a bubble –
All must turn to rubble
So that an insect can double.
