"...For humans are no longer child’s play/For these callous and lethal specimens" - a poem
Nature’s most bold and daring competition,
As always, won by humanity:
People egg on the nasty bull,
But in the end, the vicious animal gets slaughtered,
Handsomely and rather handily,
In front of a huge and adoring crowd
Of gasping, gaping, and rowdy spectators.

Behold our breathtaking, new king –
Not to be outdone by that mangy, prideful beast.
Bring ‘em on, and let our hero toy with, and dismantle,
Each of those mindless, stubborn victims,
And send them to their near-certain, dug-up graves.

The mean and bestial bull
Had better learn to back off and retreat,
Or face a lengthy, heartless, and cruel demise
At the hands of this costumed mortal.
For humans are no longer child’s play
For these callous and lethal specimens
Of earth’s highest grade.

Assuring all of humanity’s instinctive abilities
And superb prowess,
As well as its high-energy,
High octane fuel of risk vs. reward
Strategies and gumption.
