A poem about growing up.
Back in the day
When life was okay
I would pay no heed to yesterday
I dreamt of times ahead
Dreamt of things I could choose to be
There was no limit to the possibilities
Now I look forward to another day
Comprised of the monotony of bills to pay
Youth is precious
Don't throw it away
Live like there's no tomorrow
Before you're caught up in the monotony
Of bills to be paid
