Crying, crying. So hungry... Can you hear it?

Crying, Crying...

Crying, crying
So hungry…
Can you hear it?
She’s crying and begging
Wondering, “Why, why?”
I haven’t an answer
Tomorrow, perhaps
If only she’d ask again tomorrow
But tomorrow she’ll be gone
Replaced by another
Another hand extending to a cruel world
Another wail to pierce the morning air
A newborn hatred rising with the sun
And then another will be crying, begging
Crying, crying
So hungry…
Can you hear it?
