where does the beginning come from

The beginning propels the end
into the abyss.
Things not known are discovered
not created.
It is here that you must search.

I have known these words
throughout my life,
and because I have, I know
they are not created things.
They are what remains
when all else has faded.
These then are the beginning
of the end.
