Another poem I wrote when I was younger, but have no recollection of it's origin.
A broken family in a home
Desperate and alone.
The struggle to survive
Just to stay alive.

A rich man's son on the other side of town
Comfortable, but feeling down.
Struggling to survive in a world of his own
Also desperate and alone.

As Fate would have it just that day
The clouds were thin and the sun turned grey.
The rich man's son went for a walk
As he turned down the streets, people began to talk.

The poor man's family went to the streets to play
In their tattered clothes they laughed merrily on their way.
From a distance the rich man saw
And so began a happiness that was raw.
