Inspired by a friend...we're not as close - you'll probably be able to tell reading this.
It hurts to see someone
Whom you used to be close with
Yet when they speak to you now
It’s like they don’t care

What cruel twist of fate is this?
When life gives you friends
So close they’re family
Yet it yanks them from you every chance it gets

An endless cycle is all this is
Life givith, and life taketh away
I understand now why people give up
Life is anything but simple

I understand how people feel alone
Like there’s no one left to care
It’s because life gives them amazing people
But then just steals them away, leaving a hole unfilled

Life is like a spoiled child in that way
It will allow you to play with its toys
For a short time only
And then, jealousy overwhelms and they take them back

It seems to me
If you find someone who stays
Then they must be Heaven sent
For they are more powerful than the Almighty LIFE
