Impressions of modern life, consumer culture, etc.
Blinking, pixelated scenes, coursing through
LCD, T.V., phone, car window
Product, tree, polymer, a wide ocean view,
Bodies of every proportion and action
Always moving, morphing to become something else
Again.

Constant shift, drifting
Anonymous faces passed in grocery stores,
Banks, street corners, anxious to cross over
An enticement to buy, look back, or merely consider
All rushing towards an imagined perfection
To have it all; as often as not, ending
In nothing.

Searching for a foot- or handhold
That will survive the season
Once it again it evaporates
Into the saturated atmosphere
Recycled, repackaged
To go through the chute
Again.
