Loses its flow throughout, probably qualifies as snowball poetry.
In flame I fought
Over ashes and coals
With tear filled eyes
Burns took their tolls

I punched and kicked
As my legs were singed
The way was blocked
And my heart deeply cringed

I screamed and yelled
As flames engulfed my limbs
My thoughts were drowned
As my soul sung hymns

The pain seared my mind
Worse than fire or flame
I shut my eyes to clear my mind
Hoping dearly I wasn’t to blame

I could not acquiesce this loss
For I knew there was a chance
I spun on my toe and stepped away
Then looked back with a glance

As the blaze engulfed me
I readied my feet on ashen ground
Whilst walls corroded and waters fell
I charged forth with flames all around

My yellow fire suit melting
I crashed through the door
A sigh of relief as I entered the room
There she was crying flat on the floor

With renewed vigor
I picked her up with a great twirl
And rushed straight out of the house
Toward her daddy who waited fearfully for his baby girl
