Matthew thinks about what his mother must have been like
I often wonder what my life would be like if I had a mother. Someone beautiful, and sweet, and loving. She’d keep her hair up in a bun during the day, and braid it back before bed. Her hair would be red like mine.

She would love me. She’d pat me on the head and say “Matthew, you’re perfect the way you are, and I’m not going to let anything bad happen to you.” I would love her, too. I would hold her hand when we go on walks, and always open doors for her, since I’m a gentleman.

You and papa would be happy together. He would smile, and treat us both very nice. You two could go on dates, and leave me with Shockwave, I wouldn’t mind, honest.

I really wish I had a mother to love me.
