Once upon a time, I set out to jot down all the characteristics I felt represented honor.
Honor
(06.04.00)

Loss of betrayal if matters be just,
Standing alone in a storm if you must,
Admitting the wrong and taking the right,
Rising back up if you fall in a fight.

Virtuous character, homage in mind,
Considers the world and all of its kind,
Not giving up and no notion of face,
Living and dying with a righteous grace.

Doing what you know in your heart to be right,
Act to be moral and not just to spite,
Keeping a calm with those that might riot,
While knowing in your heart that God wouldn't buy it.

Longing for love and not only for lust,
Personal penance, for whom not to trust,
Patient and humble, so failing to spy,
Inherent greatness unfailing is nigh.

It's something that stands unclouded in eyes,
Bold to the mind even after flesh dies,
Heart of a lion, compassion untold,
Such are the qualities of a golden mold.
