What's the rush? Dating after divorce; friends with good intentions...
Dating Diary

Went on a Blind Date… Know why they call them a blind date by the way, because the damn fool couldn't read a signal if it was written down for him!! (Wore desperation and needy like cheap cologne) Was a very long night! The friends who brought him along are now off my Christmas card list! It's one thing to give someone a truly hideous gift, it’s another to try and pass off someone’s stray pet as a date! What did I ever do to them? Doubt the man was house broke! Seriously... And while he managed to survive the evening with all his appendages in place, (barely) After I informed him that his hands on my knee shoulders neck and back made me uncomfortable, he then took that as a sign of my being Shy?! **Choke** Giggle** and entertained me the rest of the evening staring at me with oddest facial expressions; I later interpreted as his Come Hither look! What’s a girl to do but offer him something for a head ache as she opens up a bottle of Excedrin and pops a couple into her own mouth! LOL

What Was I Thinking?

You know he won't be calling you again when the date ends with your letting him out of the trunk of his car, after driving yourself home… Another friend off my Christmas card list; at this rate I will be dateless and friendless. **Sigh**

We are Meant to be Friends

Finally, I go out with an amazing man…Intelligent charming witty self confident and widowed... Recently widowed. (Oops) Was great to have had his company and was thrilled by his interest until I learned that I reminded him of his deceased wife… Don’t get me wrong I was flattered at the comparison I later learned that she was an amazing woman who helped shape a wonderful man and 4 wonderful sons. I ended up helping him sort and pack up some of her things on that date. Yeah not exactly the sort of thing you think of doing on a date. I have to say as dates go while it was the most emotionally intense things I have ever shared with a person in the first 36 hours of knowing them… It was worth the insight I gleaned from the experience. I don’t know that I would have gone out with him had I known how recently he was widowed but I am glad I did. I hope he takes my advice though and spends a little time finding his balance Alone before he starts looking for someone to share his life with; there isn't any room for another woman in his heart. But what a lucky woman she will be when he’s healed and ready to find love again.
