On the ability of the tiniest change in circumstances to drastically alter one's mood.
Fluidity

How easily a mood does change,
The simplest of smiles, can most
cut wide the path and new arrange,
foreboding latticed undergrowth.

One bright ray, a sparkling gem,
A waterfall onrush the soul,
Sweeps out the dusty soul then
takes its flight - you're wanting more.

A ghastly drug, the likes of which
man shamelessly enslaves him to,
his hopes are tied and when alit,
those that return are far and few.

The evils many, joys are few,
but hope will cling regardless.
Elusive love remains for you,
but always you pursue the smallest.
