I May Be Different – By Kristina

I came into this world
imperfect and confused,
as to why I was rejected.

I didn’t feel different, I was like
everyone else, I dreamed, I cried,
I loved.

I was shunned, teased and
mistaken for a freak, when
it was not my physical
appearance but physical
short comings that were feared.

I do not fear or judge you.

In the end as I soar high and
achieve my dreams and dance
and rejoice, I look behind me and
I see you. Different- as you have not
progressed into the world of acceptance.
