A poem depicting a fathers perspective of his daughters difficult journey into adulthood.
Walk

The further we travel with trials at back
Less likely we are to return

Breadcrumbs vanish and tethers grow taut
In walking there's much we can learn

Gait can delude us, haste has no value
Rhythm is all we can mind

Keep pace with conviction patience and purpose
Let bridles that bind you untwine

Pain grows more distant walking persistent
Tribulations soon be forgot

The breadcrumbs are gone, the tethers too long
And time has broken their knot
