Hope's Dawn

It is a new dawn,
hope rises
bright above the dark horizon,
revealing
the shiny fragments
of yesterday's shattered resolutions.

A question rises
out of the tombs
of our disappointments:
Will this be the year
that we find the secret
that will make our souls happy?

Hope's dawn
encourages us
to continue to strive
no matter
how many times we fail.
