A poem, which sums up the item in my short story of the same name...
There is a key,
Which can guarantee,
But also garnish, responsibility.

For if abused,
Or even gently misused,
Renders beyond a soul bruised.

It is the Heart Key,
Between you and me,
Should be cast into the deepest sea.

For, alas, to hold,
It has been for told,
The holder controls another soul.

Wrought of iron with blood gem,
And, irony is spun, when it joins them,
The holder and the other soul stem.

For one is lost to the other,
And trust not a man, even his brother,
When in his wife the Heart Key will smother.

And if the Heart Key, stolen,
Then the wife is now controllen,
By the new holder, until age is olden.

So beware if the key you may find,
Do not let it render you blind,
For the Heart Key will do more than bind.

Sometimes the things which we possess,
Really in turn possesses us,
Obsesses us, till we are dust.
