An emotional acrostic poem using parataxis. For the Angel's Corner Poetry Contest.
January; another cold month without him,
only memories to keep me warm.
Holding his heart in my hands,
needing a kiss, a touch,
a heated whisper, or just a smile.
Taken, I didn't even get to say good-bye.
How long till my pain goes away?
A man, mischief in his eyes and love on his tongue.
Now? A name, frozen on soulless stone.
