An acrostic poem.
Jealous presence, he ‘lies low’ in his
Ostentatious sedan, he cricks his
Neck nearly every time his peripheral vision
Alerts him to the disturbed tranquility:
The cinema doors thrown wide, another couple
Holding hands, and he fervently hopes it is she-
Angelic face, familiar. Relieved, he starts the engine
Noiselessly, as his daughter’s first date ends.
