I listened to the music of my heart
I listened to the music of my heart,
To the words that you whispered in my ear,
To the song that drove loneliness away,
And ignored the still small voice of fear.

I ignored the whispers that I heard,
The voices that said you were untrue,
That said women were your toys,
And now I'm crying over you.

I remember our last rendezvous,
Caught in the tornado of our passion,
I forgot that every storm runs out of rain,
And now my dreams of love are ashen.

I remember the song you always sang,
It was lost in this moment with you,
You sang it as you left me that day,
Where I sit crying at our last rendezvous.

I saw you setting with your new love,
You were whispering sweet lies in her ears,
Now I'm just another crazy ex-girlfriend,
Plotting revenge while shedding tears.
