Could I get to the last sentence without revealing what the Crisis was. A Father ...
What is the Crisis ?

I could not believe it was happening again. It was the third flat tyre in a month. I pulled into the side of the road and sat there. When the
Police-Man rapped on the window fifteen minutes later I was still in the same position. What is your name Sir ? Mike Taylor I replied. Anything wrong ? A flat tyre Officer. You don't seem to be in any hurry to change it. Sorry, I have a lot on my mind and I got lost in my thoughts. Ok, but
you're not in a safe place, I'd advise you to change it and move on. As I got out of the van he drove off. I got the fluorescent safety triangle and
set it up twenty five yards down the road.
Back at the van I took out the jack and the spare wheel, as I pushed the jack under the van I noticed a
tremor in my right hand, not surprising considering all that had happened during the last fortnight. I worked the jack under and started to
lever. When I thought it was high enough I took off the flat and put on the spare. As I tightened the nuts a van pulled in and one of the lads
from my local pub got out, as he came over he "lit" up and then offered me one. Thanks Fred I'm just after smoking my last one. "Jasus" Mike I didn't think you'd be working with all that's happened. I know, I was out last week but things got rough at home. The Wife was in a bad mood ,
she was blaming me for what happened so I went back to work. Mike if there is anything myself and Molly can do , just ask. Thanks Fred I
appreciate the offer but the Wife's family and my own are looking after us.What's killing me is the waiting and not being able to do anything.
I know, but you'd want to mind your health, it might do you good to come down for a few pints tonight. I'll think about it but I don't feel like
facing the crowd. We shook hands and he drove off.
Just as I got back in the van the police car arrived back again. The same cop got out and came over,
I'm just finished....he cut across me; look, I didn't realize it was you the last time we talked. I was well down the road when it dawned on me.
I'm sorry if I upset you, you have enough on your plate. Why don't you tell me where you live and you can follow me home, it might make up
some of the time you lost over the flat tyre. Right Officer, I'll take you up on that and if you don't mind me asking, what's your name ?
Joe Bradley and I know you are Mike Taylor, I read about what happened.
As I followed the Police car home I thought about our cosy mundane life and how in the blink of an eye it can be blown apart. How I wish we had our boring life back again. We made good time to the road I lived on, as I turned off his hazard
lights said goodbye. Entering the kitchen I found my wife Ann, her two sisters and a neighbour sitting at the table drinking wine. Seeing my face darken, Ann got up and gave me a hug, we had a call from the hospital ten minutes ago, Mike he's after opening his eyes and he asked
for a drink of water. I could feel a huge weight lifting off me, I caught Ann and swung her around, great news, are we going to see him ? No
Mike, the nurse said they want to sedate him for the night, he needs to rest. But she wants us in early in the morning to be there when he opens his eyes. Ann, I prayed he'd recover and I said if he did the one thing I'd do is take him out of that school and make sure he will not be bullied again.
