Cramp Winner: A Valentine's Day viewpoint.
Valentine, from valent, which means ‘combined together’,
Is celebrated by those who claim to be in love forever.

They love each other, specifically, and with a greater force
On this day alone, defying life’s obstacle course!

But everyone has a job these days. Everybody works.
This unholy holiday tries to make us jerks:

If we don’t work harder on this single day,
It is slyly hinted that the love will go away.

But anyone can cook a meal, punctuated with sweets.
It can be labored upon or microwaved hot treats.

It’s only after that meal, when the saint cleans up the dinner,
That he gets to show his colors and become a sultry sinner.

So on this day when people are working harder to combine,
Let’s hope it doesn’t boost our numbers: our future would unwind.
