A fantasy poem about a Gypsy girl and the man who loved her.
The gypsy woman all in white
Walking through the moonless night
With a crow right at her side
Acting as her spirit guide

She travels through the forest
Needing neither food nor rest
Seeking with her lonely heart
The love that was torn apart

He had been a handsome man
That once visited her caravan
Looking for a single night of fun
Never knowing his heart would be won

From the moment he saw her dance
His heart was put into a trance
He married the girl and promised to stay
And kept his word until the fateful day

Traveling through the woods at night
They came across a fateful sight
A band of robbers began to shoot
And attacked their caravan for loot

After the robbers were finally done
He looked around for his loved one
But what he saw filled him with dread
For his beloved gypsy girl was dead

He buried her deep beneath a tree
Believing her soul was finally free
But she longs to be back at his side
So now she wanders, forever a lost bride.
