A poem about losing someone.
I feel you here, even if you are not

Im comforted by your presence

I lie awake listening, thinking I can still hear

The words you said so long ago

My dear, do not worry, for I have to go

Those words, still ringing in my ears

That night you left, your life had ended

Since then I don't let anyone see

Me, my thoughts, my feelings

I hide away everything, build a wall to stay behind

My heart once warm, now is cold

My life has completely overturned

But still I think I feel your touch

That warm caring embrace

Even though you are no longer here

I still remember your face
