written for a villanelle project, with native son undertones?
I want to hear you say it, call my name.
So “hate me, fry me, bake me, try me” kay?
No one else could ever do the same.

I did not wish to ever live in fame
so how did I get infamous today?
I want to hear you say it, call my name.

They thought that they could change me, catch me tame
The world not me is crazy, they betray.
No one else could ever do the same.

The lawyers, judge, have justified the claim,
that “jack's a guilty killer!” people say.
I want to hear you say it, call my name.

Today I met you, priest, your wishes laaaame.
it's silly that the predator should pray.
No one else could ever do the same.

You prayed for me and so its all your blame,
I loved you and I strangled you, my prey.
I want to hear you say it, call my name.
No one else could ever do the same.
