A poem stating my mother's experiences with people.
When someone gets what he wants,
he acts as if he were of your kin.
If you ask him a favor,
he'd discard you to another bin.

When someone gets a large sum of money
they say, "More than fair!"
If you ask for a sum to pay off bills,
They are almost unwilling to share.

When two people marry,
the relationship isn't really called down the middle.
Either side would want to mold the other,
so badly in fact, that keeping the peace betwixt the two becomes a riddle.

When someone fails to connect,
He looks for excuses.
Even asking for a friendly ear
feels like a car wreck.

When we see something wrong,
we try to fix it.
But why does it have to break so often?
Why won't anything we try fit?

When we act as a whole,
We suppress any and all concerns about meaningless things.
This is what every country needs,
In order to reach a common goal.
