There was once a beautiful girl, who I loved very much.
There I was, standing in the little house I had bought with Maryanne. God, she was lovely. Tall, for a woman, and slim as they came in my city. Her hair--recently cut, cropped against her beautiful face like a frame. As I stood in the doorway, watching my little beautiful artist drawing the scene of the forest in front of her, I smiled. I loved her, and I will continue to love her, for the rest of my days and hers.
