Romance wasn't just a dream. Going back was....can two hearts get back what they knew?
I see the reflection of the candles burning in your eyes,
They twinkle like the stars that are in the night time skies.
I want to embrace you in my arms fold,
Listen to the stories your heart can hold.
Paris is where the story began,
The two of us together again.

I took a chance,
Seeing you there in my eyes glance.
Enchanted by your wide smile,
My courage took me a while.
I walked up to you,
My words just wouldn't do.

My heart made it hard for me to speak,
I thought for sure you could hear it beat.
You could see what I had to say in my eyes,
It was a feeling that was hard for me to disguise.
Love is what brought me to you,
Anything else just wouldn't do.

You instantly felt the same,
Your face tried to turn from the shame.
I didn't want a moment like this,
To pass without a chance to kiss.
My hands cupped your face,
And my lips found their place.

My heart ached to let you go,
You felt the same, I know.
If I could go anywhere in time,
It would be there with you being mine.
It's just sad to say,
Paris is where you had to stay.

When I came back to my senses,
My emotions took their defenses.
All I could do was cry,
My heart wanted to die.
I just didn't know what to do,
All I could think about was you.

I was lost and alone,
My place didn't feel like home.
You were there and I was here,
Everything's still unclear.
Nothing was certain,
My feeling's are still hurting.

Wishing on falling stars at night,
Hoping you'll get on the next flight.
Nothing ever came to be,
You were all I wanted to see.
Why did you have to be so far away?
Loving you every moment of every day.

One day I hope to come back to you,
Find the Love that we both knew.
Stay until the end of our time,
When I'll be yours and you'll be mine.
Paris will set my Love free,
Embracing one another is where I want to be.
