Trapped inside a box- your funeral awaits.
There was something peculiar about this place,
A certain darkness I could not place my finger upon-
Tho’ I felt death’s solemn, lone embrace,
Trapped inside, suffocating in dead air until dawn—

Slumbering within crimson velvet and black lace,
Whilst final breaths hath gone astray-
Everlasting shades of grey painted death’s face,
A deep tint of darken’d dismay—

Perpetual thoughts accompany dead eyes,
For this place was darkness at best-
Lo! ‘Twas a mahogany coffin I was inside,
Alas, being lain to my eternal rest..
