This is a short story about making a Banana Pudding Parfait
Banana Pudding Parfait

The Jello vanilla pudding set in the bottom of the refrigerator.  She whipped the heavy cream in her tall mixer.  Homemade whipped cream is the best.

An “old-fashioned” glass rested on the counter, waiting.

I cut the bananas.  Each slice rolled like a tire until it spilled off the cutting board.

She pulled out the pudding.  One dollop of pudding into the glass. Nilla wafers. Another dollop. Bananas.  Another dollop. Nilla wafers. One last dollop of pudding. One dollop of whipped cream.  I crushed two Nilla wafers and sprinkled them generously on top of the cream.

Of course, the most important ingredient to banana pudding can’t be bought.  I know that the pudding is creamy, the wafers are crunchy and the bananas are mushy.  But what will be in this bite?
