This has been on my mind a lot lately. I would rather it be on paper then in my head!
I wish I could go back and tell her what I know now.

I wish I could tell her that it’s okay that she would rather read during recess than go outside.

I wish I could tell her that those girls only picked on her because they were jealous she got 100 on her test.

I wish I could tell her that she should have kept writing books, even though people made fun of her for it.

I wish I could tell her to stop trying to be friends with them because no matter what she does they will never give her the time of day.

I wish I could tell her it was a bad idea to stop raising her hand in class and stop trying on her homework, so she could fit in.

I wish I could tell her that now she’s just like everyone else.

I wish I could tell her that being like everyone else isn’t as good as it seems.
