love hides within ordinary things.
      Love, Disguised

Memories reach out, grasping hold,
Leading me through stories long forgotten
Of friendships special, family strong and bold.
The soft, iridescent crystal wings of love, personality warm as cotton.
Comforting, strong as the woman I strive to emulate, small and old,
Quaint and fragile. A lasting reminder of the person lost.
An angel for the doubter.

Singular, seemingly meaningless scraps of paper.
A symbol of happiness, resting within a single image,
Reminder of origins and true friendship that will never taper.
The physical reminder of heartbreak and support, a beginning lineage.
Blooming friendships, coddled within a tiny folded paper,
Patterned and shaped like wisdom, offered from hope, love’s scrimmage.
Acceptance of sisterhood resting upon thick, sparse card-stock, the unexpected shaper
That bares the crest of solidarity as I am offered a new home, a sparse new image.

Confirmations of love, like solidified vapor
Printed boldly upon the single pink sheet of loose-leaf,
Folded carefully to the shape of love.
A simple beginning brings hope for the future.
