A painfull walk
A promise of tomorrow

I wandered through the paths of my mind,

And stumbled upon those words, unkind.

Blindly I searched to find my way,

Slipped into the river my tears made today.

I picked myself up, and though wet and cold

I fought my way through those memories of old.

I paused just a while, but did not look back,

To conquer this I knew I must stay on track.

At last a clearing, and though the nettles may sting,

I shall soothe them with promises my tomorrow may bring.
