A poem about war, capturing the feelings of the soldiers fighting for their country.
I needed to get away,
The day had turned to grey.
Men constantly killing,
My whole world was stilling.
Echo of gunshots,
Our stomach's tied in knots.

High barbed fence's keeping out all our senses,
Once again more death,
Once again another bloody mess.
Somewhere out there must be peace,
Somewhere away from this beast.
