I'm not normally a fan of this kind of poem, but I was of a mind to write it, so I did.
One day, I’ll be strong enough that I won’t consider myself a weakling.
Until then, I’ll just grin and laugh it off.

One day, I’ll be wise enough that I won’t consider myself a fool.
Until then, I’ll be silent and learn.

One day, I’ll be brave enough that I won’t consider myself a coward.
Until then, I’ll aid the ones who protect me.

One day, I’ll be mature enough that I won’t consider myself a child.
Until then, I’ll find someone to look up to.

One day, I’ll have enough love that I won’t be filled with hatred.
Until then, I’ll forgive and try to understand.

One day, my heart will be filled with light.
Until then, I’ll fight the darkness within.
