A short poem about our fun sport. April 11th is a day that the player named first played.
Baseball

Baseball
A rousing sport.
It’s played by young and old.
Everyone wants their team to win.
Players hit a little ball and then run.
Some players become super stars.
Jackie Robinson played,
and was famous.
Baseball.

Thank you Mr. Jackie Robinson for making the decision to play baseball. Your contributions are priceless. Jackie Robinson first played on April 11th, 1947.
The Rictameter is a poem with lines of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 syllables. The first and last line are the same.
