My take on an ancient legend
Silent whispers in the night
From where the darkness closes in
Recalls the legend of the bite

A thousand years of primal fright
Accumulating deep within
Silent whispers in the night

Peasants swore a vicious sight
To which the church proclaimed it sin
Recalls the legend of the bite

All because of one soul's plight
And the pallor of his skin
Silent whispers in the night

Stories raged of him in flight
And his evil, bloodied grin
Recalls the legend of the bite

The truth behind one man's fight
That took a dark and deadly spin
Became the whispers in the night
That told the legend of the bite
